i had seen some stuff by blend previously and could never find their site. i finally came across it yet again and their collection has grown to include some really stunning pieces. i'm partial to the goldfish myself - but check them out for yourself.

it's mine! in all it's 10 megapixel glory.
awesome.

"He may have played nerdy eighth-grader Samuel (Screech) Powers in the sitcom "Saved by the Bell." But former TV geek Dustin Diamond can now take his place with Colin Farrell, Tommy Lee and Kid Rock as the star of his very own sex tape.

Everyone who remembers Diamond as a lovable putz is in for a shock once they see a 40-minute video in which he engages in a kinky three-way with two women, sources tell us.
We can't get too graphic here, but word is that the action includes some bodily functions and an act known as a "Dirty Sanchez."

Phoenix-based agent David Hans Schmidt, who has brokered some of Hollywood's biggest celebrity-skin deals, confirms that he's acquired the rights to a tape featuring Diamond.
"Just when you think you have seen everything in this business," he tells us, "mankind has raised the bar another notch. Or lowered it."

Schmidt is in L.A., shopping the tape to Hustler's Larry Flynt, Vivid's Steven Hirsch and other major distributors of adult video.

Now age 29, the 6-foot Diamond is much brawnier than you may remember him. He's a black belt in karate, and, four years ago, he defeated Ron Palillo (Horshack on "Welcome Back, Kotter") on Fox's "Celebrity Boxing 2."

Diamond's manager, Roger Paul, said his client has become a successful standup comic and will appear on the ABC sitcom "The Knights of Prosperity."

"I haven't seen the tape," Paul told us. "I've heard rumors. Dustin has been trying to escape the Screech typecast. So this may help me get more bookings."

In 1996, former "Saved by the Bell" sweetheart Elizabeth Berkley bared all in the Paul Verhoeven-Joe Eszterhas trashterpiece, "Show Girls."

The sex vid's working title is "Saved by the Smell." Ewwwww. " ( by rush & malloy)

"Fidobags are the most loyal of all luggage. Great for travel, overnight stays or just to take down the gym, The bags are fully lined, have an adjustable shoulder strap, and most ingeniously feature a separatable, decapitatable head so you can always get to your phone, keys, passport etc."

when i first heard the name fido bag and saw the picture i thought it was some absurd bag to carry your dog in. luckily it's not - it's just a funny little purse in the ambiguous shape of my favorite little friends. too bad these puppies go for 180 bucks.

so i finally saw the science of sleep and never wanted it to end. in all seriousness, i could have watched it again right then and there. and probably again after that. it was beautiful. it was enchanting. it was funny and gut wrenching and full of life and imagination. it was everything a film should be. and it was of course, quintessentially gondry.

i think i need a new tv.
i definitely wouldn't be complaining if it

it feels good to know i'm not the only font junkie out there. helvetica seems to be the font of the month - especially with the upcoming release of Helvetica. yes, helvetica is a full-length documentary on typography, design and visual culture. i love it.

for those of you who didn't know, helvetica is a san serif font developed in switzerland in the late 1950's. you see this font significantly more often then you probably realize or even care to realize...
i love all things organic. whether it be my food or my design, i can never get enough. check out these lovely tables and shelves by susan bradley called creep. absolutely stunning in a modern yet organic kind of way.

yes, this is a real wedding cake.
an edible super mario bros delight.
quite possibly the best cake i have ever seen. seriously.
check out the whole set here.
so, i have a lot of friends who talk about moving to oregon. while i was desperate to leave orange county, i don't think oregon would have been at the top of my list as an alternative. but well, to each their own. i am hoping however that one of my friends moves to The Shire.

The Shire is in Bend, Oregon that is being designed to look like an 18th century village (think Lord of the Rings). No joke. The cottages and village townhomes are modern on the inside, but their exteriors have thatched roofs and cobble stone walls. And it gets better - to make sure you really feel like you're in the Lord of the Rings - there are little 'hobbit dwellings' with little round hobbit doors. sorry to say, no hobbits reside within them, however they do house all the tools to maintain The Shire. So all you big folk and little folk alike who are looking to move to Oregon - I suggest The Shire, and be sure to invite an old city gal up sometime, okay?

so i tried blogger beta. and i reverted right back to classic. yes, it looks cool. yes, the widgits are easy to use. but custom modifications are still a pain, in particular because of the damn xml for the widgits. stay tuned for a 'classic' site makeover...

just be glad i am strong and know where i belong...

i was sitting on the plane not to long ago. beside me a young college girl. beside her, a middle aged man. being a curiously inquisitive creature, this young girl managed to learn the entire life story of this man beside her. i stared out the window watching a thunder storm reflecting on my passing future.

"so what do you do?"
'software.'
"so you like design it and stuff?"
'not anymore, no.'
"well, then what do you do?"
'just another empty suit...middle management.'

--- ...

it resonated within me.

just another cog. another gear in a grotesque machine. he is i. i am he. single serving. fleeting. meaningless.

existential at heart - this still managed to sadden me. it was fleeting. the future passing.

swiss goodness by steven holl.
(yes, my mind has been dramatically altered by dating a swiss.
but fear not, i will never live in a plain box house,
with white walls, white furniture and white accessories.
i will forever be a collector of kitsch...)
i want. i want. i want.
(yes, that is helvetica wall paper.)

so i'm having a green evening. some of you may know of the rebar group and their PARK(ing) project. for those of you who don't, here's a little background:

the rebar group are an s.f. based collective of green activists/artists who created the PARK(ing) project last year. one parking spot, a roll of sod, a tree and a bench. and there you have it. activist, urban art.

i suppose this wouln't have much of an impact in orange county, but in san francisco where parking spots are worth more then a small child, well, this has an impact. and better yet - it's back!

be your own urban artist, regardless where you live, and turn the streets back into the green. september 21st is PARK(ing) Day - so get out there and green the streets!!!

Need instructions? click here.

i'm lucky enough to live in a green city, but i still absolutely love this. kevin van braak has designed a trailer that pops open to expose a mobile park. with plants, a firepit and plenty of room for all your friends - this is all you need to take the artificial outdoors with you everywhere you go. everyone could use some green in their lives...
welcome to the end. of the page that is.

say hello.
